Sin City es ciudad de policías corruptos y atractivas mujeres. Unos buscan venganza, otros, redención, y los hay que buscan ambas cosas. Sin City, una ciudad que vive entre luces y sombras, está llena de personajes singulares: Marv (Mickey Rourke) es un superviviente que busca vengar la muerte de su único amor, Dwight (Clive Owen) es un investigador privado que intenta resolver sus problemas.
