Sweet Megg reside en Nashville, TN desde 2021. Nació en la ciudad de Nueva York y ahí es donde desarrolló la mayor parte de su carrera. Su voz revela una gran variedad de influencias, desde Billie Holiday hasta Patsy Cline.desde Bonnie Rait hasta Bessie Smith. Creció actuando como compositora en East Village y soñando con ser una escritora al estilo de los compositores populares de Greenwich Village. Después de la secundaria, se encontró en Carolina del Norte, donde se formó como guía de balsa y probó por primera vez la música sureña. Los sonidos del bluegrass y el country la intrigaban y siempre sentía el deseo de regresar una vez a la gran ciudad. Continuó componiendo canciones en la universidad y finalmente se mudó a París para estudiar jazz, donde comenzó a actuar en la ciudad con músicos locales.
