Elizabeth King es una cantante de gospel y soul sagrado que vive en Memphis. Poseedora de una poderosa y temblorosa contralto, ha dirigido servicios religiosos y actuado semanalmente en la radio gospel desde la década de 1960. King grabó su primer sencillo, "Testify", con el sello Designer en 1969, así como algunos otros. Firmó con D-Vine Spirituals en 1970 como líder de Gospel Souls, exclusivamente masculino. El grupo grabó cinco sencillos y un álbum entre 1970 y 1973, pero el larga duración nunca fue lanzado. King se retiró de la grabación y las giras para formar una familia.
