Beady Belle es una banda de jazz noruega fundada por Beate S. Lech con su bajista y esposo Marius Reksjø, después de haber sido alentada a hacer un disco por Bugge Wesseltoft en Jazzland Recordings.
Lech y Reksjø estudiaron música juntos en la Universidad de Oslo y, como estudiantes de música, formaron juntos varias bandas. Su música fluye en el paisaje entre el jazz y el acid-jazz, usando raíces electrónicas optimistas y pesimistas, usando armonías vocales, piano y cuerdas. Sin embargo, la música también incorpora elementos de varios otros géneros.
A partir de 2003, las cosas realmente comienzan a suceder, tanto comercial como críticamente, y ahora Beady Belle es una banda conocida internacionalmente. Después de un concierto en Londres durante una gira europea en 2005, el intérprete de jazz británico Jamie Cullum vino detrás del escenario para hablar con la banda. Ese encuentro provocó una gran gira por Reino Unido y algunos conciertos en Alemania, Francia, Noruega, Suecia y Dinamarca, con Beady Belle como telonero de Cullum. En 2008, aparecieron en el Festival de Jazz de Calgary en Canadá.
La banda original se separó en 2015, pero la vocalista y compositora Beate S. Lech ha lanzado dos álbumes con el nombre de Beady Belle.
