Originaria de Montana, pero ahora vive, actúa y enseña en San Diego, este es el primer álbum de Kristin Korb. Korb, que no posee un conjunto de cuerdas vocales especialmente poderoso, teje figuras delicadas con una voz clara, fría y casi sin vibrato. Disparándose, pero no hasta el punto de ignorar por completo las letras, es una adición agradable, si no abrumadora, al mundo de la voz del jazz. A Korb se une en esta sesión el decano de bajistas, Ray Brown, y su trío que cuenta con el destacado y duro pianista Benny Green, un destacado solista por derecho propio. El trío se complementa con dos veteranos, Plas Johnson al saxo tenor y Conte Candoli a la trompeta. Johnson, injustamente, es bastante conocido por su trabajo en La Pantera Rosa de Henry Mancini. Ha hecho mucho más y mejor trabajo, como con T-Bone Walker, Lou Rawls y otros. Su saxo oscilante y boppish impulsa "Yeh Yeh". Conte Candoli ha estado en tantos álbumes que probablemente haya perdido la cuenta, pero no ha perdido su toque de mejorar líricamente detrás de un cantante en la tradición de su compañero de Stan Kenton, Don Fagerquist. El guitarrista invitado, el brasileño Oscar Castro-Neves, ocupa un lugar central en melodías con tintes latinos como "Black Orpheus" de Luis Bonfa. "Peel Me a Grape" está hecha, apropiadamente, al estilo de Anita O'Day y hay "These Foolish Things" entregada con mucha delicadeza y "Take the "A" Train", casi como un himno.
