Dear Reader es Cherilyn McNeill. Cherilyn nació y creció en Johannesburgo, Sudáfrica. En 2010 se mudó a Berlín, Alemania, para seguir una carrera en la música. Allí, como Dear Reader, lanzó 4 álbumes de art-pop a través del respetado sello independiente City Slang, grabó un álbum en vivo con la Babelsberg Film Orchestra y realizó innumerables giras por toda Europa. 'Dear Reader' ha ganado dos premios de la música sudafricana. (6 nominaciones) Cherilyn también compone música para cine y televisión, y ganó el Deutsche Film Preis en 2013 por su contribución a la música de 'Oh Boy'. Más recientemente, compuso y grabó la partitura de 'Petronella Apfelmus', una serie animada para niños. En 2021, fundó una nueva banda con su amiga JL, un monstruo pop-punk de dos cabezas al que llamaron Crow Baby. Su álbum debut, “Get Yourself Together”, se lanzará a finales de 2023.
