Sofya Chekster comenzó su camino musical cuando tenía 5 años. Comenzó en Taganrog, su ciudad natal. Estudió piano clásico, pero cantar siempre había sido su verdadero amor. También le gustaba componer diferentes canciones divertidas. Ya entonces su potencial ya era notable. Después de la escuela, estudió en la Facultad de Artes de Rostov y luego en el Conservatorio Estatal Rakhmaninov de Rostov. Y luego, después de 3 años, ingresó en el Dr. Langner Jazz Master Program en HfMT Hamburg. JD Walter se convirtió allí en su mentor.
