Paula Frazer es una cantante y compositora estadounidense . Ella creció en Georgia y Arkansas y se mudó a San Francisco en 1981. Su música es frecuentemente descrita como alternativa melancólica Country , pero con una mezcla ecléctica de folk, blues y pop, entre otros géneros. Estuvo al frente de la banda Tarnation en los años 90 y ha aparecido en las grabaciones y en el concierto con muchas bandas y con artistas en solitario incluyendo Cornershop , Sean Lennon , Frightwig , Tindersticks , los Czars , Handsome Boy Modeling School.
Antes de formar Tarnation, Frazer actuó con numerosas bandas de SF, como Cloiter, Virginia Dare, Frightwig, Trial y Pleasant Day. Tarnation MK1 ofreció a Brandan Kearney, dueño de la etiqueta de SF NufSed. Kearney no permaneció en la banda por mucho tiempo, pero le dio a Frazer la oportunidad de lanzar el debut de Tarnation. Un año más tarde, Frazer dejó caer el nombre de Tarnation y continuó como artista en solitario. En 2006 Frazer revivió el nombre de Tarnation y lanzó su séptimo disco, Now It's Time en marzo de 2007 bajo el nombre de Paula Frazer y Tarnation.
